Mom of a 20 year old & a 16 year old with special needs
I am a helper. My brain starts working on solutions whenever I see a problem in the world. Mostly, this applies to the special needs community. In my role as a CLASS Case Manager, I get to learn about lots of resources provided through the state and federal government, and I love to help people find the right resource for their current situation. When I have information that can help someone, I am driven to help connect them to that resource.

Mom of a 20 year old with special needs
I am an encourager. I choose to find joy in the midst of challenges and focus on the blessings hidden within. I walk alongside others on a similar journey, and give them a voice to share their biggest challenge, their greatest joy, their hopes and dreams for the future and their favorite resources and tips, on a weekly podcast, Embrace the Blessing. My desire is to inspire hope, share faith and encourage others.
As a former teacher, I love sharing what I’m learning with anyone who will listen. Currently, I work with an individual with a disability, providing supported employment services. I assist him in his work to empower others with special needs to gain self-advocacy, self-determination and work readiness skills. Students learn they have a voice to make a choice about their future as they plan for life after school and gain meaningful employment.
